Our new curate – Funmilayo Vaughan

Funmilayo Vaughan was born and raised in Kilburn, North West London. She has four sisters and one brother. She moved to Grays in Essex in 2001. She attended St Clements in Grays, which she joined in 2014, prior to this she was in the Pentecostal denomination. 


She studied law and qualified as a barrister at the Nigerian Law School. Before becoming Ordinand at Ridley Hall, Cambridge, she worked for the Crown Prosecution Service for 18 years in London in the operational and policy department.   


Her family is from Lagos , Nigeria. Her name in Yoruba means ‘give me joy’. The full name is ‘ God has given me joy’.
